Polyester/Polyethylene Bi-Component Spunbond Nonwoven

Details

Made from two materials. The inner core of the filament is polyester (PET) and the sheath is polyethylene (PE).

The polyethylene being able to melt at lower temperature could be used to laminate easily with materials such as polyethylene films, porous films, paper and felt.

Two types of bi-component spunbonds are available; soft type "S" and hard type "T". The soft type is soft and flexible, while the hard type is a little bit more like paper to provide some form and stability to the end product. Choosing either type will depend on the requirement of the end product.
